Intuition has always been a vital part of human intelligence. It encompasses skills that have always been critical to human life. Some scientists believe that intuition is responsible for the survival of the species. Its long evolutionary history has made it a deeply buried power of the mind.
But, why are scientists and researches considering intuition, the highest form of intelligence?
According to Gerd Gigerenzer, a director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, intuition is less about suddenly "knowing" the right answer and more about instinctively understanding what information is unimportant and can thus be discarded.
Intuition is that feeling you have that tells you should go right, when all odds say you should go left. Usually, smart people listen to those feelings, and the majority of the people who made intellectual leaps forward and succeeded in their lives attributed a major part of their success to that “feeling inside”, to that “intuition”.
So, let each one of us try to find out if he/she is intuitive by asking himself/herself the following questions:
1. Do you know what something is despite little time to see it properly?.
2. Can you identify something you haven't seen clearly?.
3. Are you able to generate images spontaneously?.
4. Are you able to identify things you have never seen before?.
5.Can you anticipate what happens next?.
6. Are you good at hunches?
7. Can you look at an image and detect the elements that don’t fit?
If you are intuitive, deploy all efforts to enhance that skill and that form of intelligence, and if you aren’t, try to listen more carefully to your heart, and to that small voice inside your head, and you will definitely hear it! .
