A leading international tobacco company in Beirut is looking for an External Affairs Manager:
1/ Develop and implement the CA strategies to secure a stable, sustainable and predictable fiscal environment for the conventional business and RRPs.
2/ In conjunction with the CA Director, and in line with the company’s business objectives, design and develop tax strategies and action plans to achieve / maintain a favourable business environment in Lebanon.
3/ Identify challenges and opportunities that could impact the business by monitoring and tracking legislative (new laws or law amendment proposals) initiatives that affect or could potentially affect the industry or the company.
4/ Establish and enhance relationships with relevant government officials to maintain and develop communication channels between PM and key decision-makers.
5/ Leverage the Company’s responsible positions on tobacco and smoking issues to build trust and credibility with legislative stakeholders.
6/ Develop and execute CSR initiatives, to raise awareness around the company’s activities in Lebanon, further enhancing the company’s image in the market.
7/ Liaise and coordinate with tobacco industry representatives, to align on topics of common interest.
8/ Advocate, engage and gather intelligence regarding all tobacco industry related initiatives from UN agencies/ IMF/ WB (COP 8, MOP, AIT, WHO)
Basic Salary is negotiable + cash bonus + car + mobile/line + health and life insurance
