A Big Four Business Consultancy company looking for a Career Development & Staffing Specialist :
Primary duties and responsibilities
Processes
- Manage the allocation of staff on marketing work; interacts daily with partners, principals and managers to understand requirements in terms of non-billable support work requests
- Manage the staffing allocation of junior consultants on project work:
- Develop an understanding of current associate profiles and skills to aid in optimal allocation of staff to projects
- Communicate with home team staff on project preferences and development needs (initiating discussions on their project preferences, involving mentors when needed etc..).
- Propose staffing allocations by matching available associates to projects considering various factors (staff personal preferences, staff development needs, project business needs etc…)
- Support in the staffing allocation of summer interns and busines analysts in line with constraints (timing, nature of work, industry preferences etc…)
- Communicate agreed staffing decisions on projects
- Manage client staff vacation approval process (communicating vacation balances to staff, approving new vacation requests, reporting vacations on staffing sheet)
Reporting
- Develops and ensures accurate maintenance of the staffing function reports:
- Staffing reports: maintain real time updates of the staffing reports on Google (staffing sheet and availability, open needs, newsletter, staff utilization on support work). Coordinate weekly with the business operations team to consolidate updates and ensure adherence to guidelines
- Vacation and holidays reporting: Update monthly vacation file on Google and manage the vacation leakage (actual vs. approved) and the public holiday misallocations
- Staff CVs management: ensure that staff CVs are updated twice yearly and maintain a tracking report for updates
- Other reports: handles multiple other reports (e.g. staff waivers report, EMEA report etc…)
- Staffing reports digitization: identify automation opportunities in staffing reports and support in their implementation
Capability
- Act as a key liaison to other functional areas of the business and build productive cross-functional relationships especially with Business Operations, Finance and other HC teams
Qualifications:
- University Degree
- 3 – 4 years of experience
Skills:
- Computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, G-suite)
- Approachable and diplomatic, multitasks and works well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Sound judgment and objectivity
