Our client is hiring an Area Sales Manager that will be responsible for driving sales growth across the West African market, developing strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding the company's market presence within the chemicals industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue objectives within the African market while aligning with overall company goals.
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing customers and key decision-makers to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and generate sustainable growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to effectively position and promote the company's products and services.
  • Deliver product presentations, prepare commercial proposals, and lead contract negotiations to successfully close business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure the effective implementation of sales initiatives and customer requirements.
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and provide management with regular updates on results, opportunities, and challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the West African market, preferably in the chemicals industry.
  • Proven experience in selling chemical products, with a strong understanding of industry-specific requirements and challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of African markets, customer behaviors, and business practices, supported by an established network of contacts and prospects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both French and English. Fluency in French is mandatory; Arabic is considered an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities, with experience managing complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement sales plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
