A leading Building & Civil Engineering Contractors Company located in Nigeria is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager - Concrete Plant to oversee and lead the operations of its industrial production facilities, including concrete plants, pipe factories, and batching plants.
The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of hands-on and managerial experience in industrial or construction-related manufacturing environments, with a strong background in production leadership, process optimization, and team management. This position requires a strategic leader who can ensure efficient operations, maintain product quality, and drive continuous improvement across all production units.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all industrial operations related to concrete production, batching, and pipe manufacturing.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of foremen, technicians, operators, and plant staff, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules aligned with project timelines and company objectives.
- Monitor and optimize production processes, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee the maintenance and reliability of all industrial machinery and production lines.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, ensuring adequate supply of raw materials and minimal waste.
- Analyze production data and prepare regular reports for senior management on performance, efficiency, and output.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence among plant personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in industrial or construction-related manufacturing (concrete plants, pipe factories, batching plants, or similar).
- Proven track record in plant management or industrial operations leadership.
- Strong technical knowledge of production equipment, process flow, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production management software (ERP systems preferred).
- Experience working in Africa or the Middle East is an asset but not mandatory.
