Job Description

Our client, a high end pastry shop, located in the Dbayeh area, is recruiting a Sales Attendant :



  • Ensure proper application: opening, running and closing procedures of the store as per checklists
  • Arrange and display items following  display standards
  • Identify missing items and prepare requisition orders
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
  • Stay current with sales prices
  • Respect safety, hygiene and grooming standards
  • Greet and welcome customers
  • Make sure customers have a pleasant experience and invite them to return
  • Be aware of the customer’s needs and provide assistance about specific products/services
  • Recommend, select and help locate the right items
  • Use selling techniques to suggest and upsell products
  • Inform customers about new products launches and shop openings
  • Provide accurate information to customers and colleagues (product features, pricing, ingredients, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable to answer questions about all retail products and describe components, origins, etc.
  • Answer and solve customer minor complaints in a polite manner; redirect guest complaints when necessary to the Retail supervisor
  • Receive the cash drawer at beginning of work shift and count money in drawer at beginning and end of shift to verify it’s accuracy
  • Ensure the use of adequate packaging for each product
  • Monitor the fridges and freezers’ temperature
  • Report all breakages and wastages to the Retail supervisor
  • Receive the goods delivered to the outlet and perform a quality and quantity check
  • Perform and assist in the outlet’s inventory count
  • Check quality of ingredients and dispose of expired products
  • Ensure products and packaging materials are properly stored
  • Report all breakages and wastage to the Retail supervisor
  • Comply with the store’s SOPs and employee handbook
  • Stay updated on all policies, memos, procedures, etc.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing morale, productivity and efficiency
  • Work as part of a team in a constructive manner that enables us to achieve its goal and be the market leader
  • Attend daily briefings with the team to discuss kitchen operation as well as trainings.
  • Be available to be called upon at times to perform other related tasks not included in the job description



  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Retail Attendant
  • Minimum of a high school degree; BA in Hospitality, Management or Marketing is a plus
  • Able to work while standing for several hours
  • Able to work for varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Excellent customer service and strong social skills
  • High commitment to ethics and confidentiality
  • Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Attentive to details
  • Able to cope well under pressure
  • Presentable, friendly, professional, positive, enthusiastic and patient
  • Knowledgeable in selling and upselling techniques
  • Should have an aesthetic and artistic use of hand or fingers in order to elegantly pack, and present purchased items
  • Good command of English, French and Arabic (both oral and written)


Work Schedule:

6 days a week (1 paid day off), Main shift = 8 hours (8AM till 4PM)



Between LBP 6.000.000 and LBP 8.000.000 + Transportation (LBP 24.000/ per working day) + Bonus each few months (Holidays)
