Our Client, is a shipping agency looking for a Shipping Line Commercial / Agency Manager who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's shipping agency operations while driving commercial growth and expanding market presence. The role combines operational leadership with business development, ensuring excellent customer service, strong relationships with principals and clients, and the successful execution of the company's commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping Agency & Operations Management
  • Manage and oversee all shipping agency operations to ensure smooth and efficient business activities.

  • Lead, supervise, and support the operations and customer service teams.

  • Ensure high standards of operational efficiency and customer service across all functions.

Business Development & Sales
  • Grow the agency's business by increasing cargo volumes and market share.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and secure new agency appointments.

  • Develop new customers while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

  • Expand the customer base among importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and NVOCCs.

  • Identify opportunities to secure new shipping line representations.

Commercial Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the commercial team to achieve ambitious growth objectives.

  • Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy in alignment with business goals.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

  • Support management in securing new agency appointments and strategic business opportunities.

Relationship Management
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with principals, shipping carriers, customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

  • Represent the company professionally with key clients and principals.

  • Establish strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable business growth.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within Sales.

  • Language: Fluent in English.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer applications.

  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to identify business opportunities and drive commercial growth.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.

  • Experience within the shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or maritime industry is highly desirable.

  • Beirut, requires travel.
