Job Skills Post COVID-19
A question that many of us ask ourselves is "What are the skills that organizations are looking for while hiring?" However, this question should now include “post-Coronavirus.”
In the recently released
LinkedIn Learning 2020 Workplace Learning Report, LinkedIn analysed data to map the 15 most in-demand skills. The skills are categorized into “Soft Skills” and “Hard Skills”
Here is the list of skills that LinkedIn provided:
The top 5 most in-demand soft skills are:
- Creativity
- Persuasion
- Collaboration
- Adaptability
- Emotional Intelligence
The top 10 most in-demand hard skills are:
- Blockchain
- Cloud Computing
- Analytical Reasoning
- Artificial Intelligence
- UX Design
- Business Analysis
- Affiliate Marketing
- Sales
- Scientific Computing
- Video Production
In a more recent report
by Forbes, Bernard Marr shares 9 job skills to succeed in a post-COVID-19 world. Because of the extreme changes companies and employees went through during the pandemic, requirements have shifted, and the skills that weren’t necessarily on the checklist have made it to the top. It is unlikely for things to back to the way they were after such drastic changes.
