Telecommunication company looking to hire an Operations Manager who can be responsible for the organization of the in-country affiliate in terms of commercial development, operational structure and financial results. He is Responsible for handling business operations, developing business, attracting new partners, managing supplier relationships, and increasing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Proactively manage interventions when needed with any changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Manage Operations Department and ensure the delivery of projects with the required conditions.
Ensure Quality control and monitoring across all projects.
Direct and manage contract development from beginning to end.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
Develop and maintain customer relationship and associated communications documents.
Coach, mentor, motivate, supervise projects team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Manage the delegation of tasks and responsibilities of project managers to their teams.
Identify technical trainings and required on-job technical coaching for the technical staff across all projects
Ensure day to day management of all Regional Network Operations & Maintenance teams.
Responsible for proactive planning and scheduling of Preventive Maintenance.
Ensuring that all corrective maintenance activities are carried out within acceptable MTTR (mean time to repair) targets.
Responsible for Regional OPEX scheduling and budgeting and for ensuring that is spent efficiently and within Budget.
Provide Regional OPEX Reports.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Expand existing and new features and products while incorporating specific local considerations
Take on full P&L accountability of the affiliate/subsidiary.
Define and implements annual budget plans and provides regular reports to the headquarters.
Develop a successful commercial development strategy for the country.
Develop both new business and current accounts through business development research to create growth in sales.
Represent the company externally with government, statutory/regulatory bodies and business partners/allies.
Develop and implement internal systems for logistics, commercial and financial information flows in cooperation with headquarters.
Requirements:
Education: Telecommunications Engineering’ Degree -MBA or Masters of Engineering is a plus, PMP Certification is a plus
Working Experience: At least 8 years’ related experience out of which 5 years are in a similar-managerial position
Excellent managerial skills
Strong technical knowledge
Languages: Fluency in French and English
Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including advanced skills in the use of the Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook…)
