An International Luxury Design House located in Beirut- Lebanon is hiring a Senior Accountant :
Summary:
The Senior Accountant will perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Complete monthly close of books; preparing general ledger
-Entries including accruals and prepaid in accordance with IFRS
-Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, general ledger accounts, and financial reports
-Perform monthly variance analysis on P&L and balance sheet accounts and field questions within the organization
-Identify and implement ideas to streamline the accounting process
-Create and recommend operational accounting policies and procedures
-Work cross functionally with other groups within the organization identifying issues, trouble shooting, and problem solving
-Prepare year-end financial reporting package
-Delegate, review, and follow up on work of Staff, Junior, and Clerical Accountant(s)
-Assist in special projects as needed
Qualifications
-Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
-Minimum 3 years of experience in the same field. Experience in Fashion Houses is a plus.
-Previous experience in European especially French accounting law and Practice is a big plus.
-Fluency in French, English and Arabic.
-Proficient in Financial and/or Accounting ERP systems and procedures.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (especially in Excel)
