An Oil and Gas company located in Basra, Iraq is looking to hire a Chemical Facility Manager

This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional capable of managing complex operations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, optimizing production processes, and driving operational efficiency to meet strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise daily operations of the facility, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Implement and oversee maintenance programs to ensure reliability and availability of equipment.
Optimize production processes to maximize output and minimize downtime.
Develop and execute strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and operators.
Collaborate with other departments such as HSE, Engineering, and Supply Chain to achieve operational goals.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical or Chemical), or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the oil and gas industry, preferably in chemical operations.
Strong understanding of chemical production processes and equipment.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the oil and gas industry.
Experience in budget management, cost control, and project management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and with external stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
