Head of Procurement

A widely known food manufacturing company located in North Lebanon is looking for Head of Procurement.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead the procurement operations for a food manufacturing and distribution business. This individual will oversee all aspects of sourcing, vendor management, and procurement strategy to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, ingredients, and supplies while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support company objectives
• Source and manage reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other operational requirements specific to food manufacturing and distribution
• Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance and support
• Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient purchasing processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
• Analyze market trends and make recommendations to optimize procurement processes
• Drive sustainable and ethical procurement practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within the food manufacturing or distribution sector.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices and market trends
• Experience in vendor management and relationship building
• Knowledge of ethical and sustainable procurement practices
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite

Skills:

• Strong expertise in vendor negotiation, contract management, and sourcing.
• Deep knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with a strong understanding of ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
