A leading provider of tobacco products in the African and Middle Eastern markets is currently hiring an Assistant Business Development Manager based in Dubai, who will play a critical role in supporting the Business Development Manager by managing customer administrative tasks and enabling a sharper focus on strategic initiatives. This position offers significant exposure to key international markets, with extensive travel and long-term growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Customer Administration:
- Manage order placements, pricing, costing, and customer follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, contracts, and agreements.
- Handle reporting and documentation to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Market Engagement:
- Accompany the Business Development Manager to key market visits and customer meetings.
- Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Support business presentations and proposals during customer engagements.
- Growth & Development:
- Take on increased responsibilities to manage solo travel and customer management over time.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve customer service and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
- High energy and strong general commercial acumen.
- Fluent in Arabic; proficiency in English is required. French language skills are a plus.
- Experience in the tobacco industry or FMCG sector is advantageous.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent travel.
