Job Description

An renowned Lebanese catering company located in North Lebanon is looking for a Catering operations Manager.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize catering operations and enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including menu development, staffing, logistics, and client communication.
    • Preparing menus
  • Manage a team of catering staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food quality standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive business growth and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, such as sales targets, profit margins, and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in catering operations.
  • Preparing and implementing budgets
  • Allocate funds for food, cooking equipment, staffing and other activities. They also ensure that accounting staff appropriately distribute and use the funds by auditing expenses and generating reports.
    • Oversee budget implementation.
  • Negotiating prices with customers and suppliers
  • Maintaining the inventory of ingredients, food, and kitchen equipment.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts or any related field.
  • Experience in the Lebanese Market
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their goals.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices in catering operations.
  • Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) and/or hospitality management is a plus.
