Telecommunication company looking for a highly motivated Chief Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow statements).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and corporate reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights on operational efficiency, profitability, and cost control.
- Lead the budgeting process by coordinating with departmental heads to forecast future financial needs.
- Monitor budget performance and identify variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for ongoing projects and new business ventures.
- Ensure compliance with taxation regulations and filings, including VAT, income tax, and corporate tax.
- Stay updated with government regulations in the telecommunication and energy sectors and ensure the company’s adherence to financial and reporting requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounting team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA, CPA, CMA is a plus.
- Previous experience in account management is a must.
- 5 years of experience in a a similar position.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in English, French and Arabic.
- Advanced-level experience using productivity tools, such as Microsoft office Suite.
