An international lighting company headquartered in the USA, with offices in Cyprus, KSA, and Lebanon, is hiring a Cost Engineer to join their team in Matn, Lebanon. This person will be in charge of all product costing activities, making sure that costs are estimated correctly. The role also involves managing inventory, using the ERP system for costing, and helping with business decisions to improve profits and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the process of figuring out product costs by working with the procurement, operations, and delivery teams.
- Estimate accurate total costs for new products by working with logistics and purchasing teams.
- Create standard ways of working and tools for product cost estimation.
- Create new product price lists using Excel and the company's ERP system.
- Make sure old price lists are updated regularly.
- Help with the costing strategy by looking at different options from various countries.
- Track important numbers to see how accurate costing is and find ways to improve the process.
- Monitor cash flow for large projects on a monthly basis.
- Check and confirm profit margin calculations for big projects.
- Manage raw material stock, update the ERP system, and handle transfers between factory branches.
- Supervise quarterly and yearly inventory counts and create reports for management.
- Oversee demand planning and forecasting to make sure there is enough stock.
- Lead the setup of the ERP system and set up product information within it.
- Create standard ways of working for the supply chain and costing teams.
- Improve costing templates to make them better over time.
- Check costing processes against goals and use the results to make improvements.
Qualifications
- An Industrial Engineering degree from a well-known university (LAU or CNAM is preferred).
- 2 to 4 years of experience in costing, supply chain, or industrial operations.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel functions (like Pivot Tables and Lookups).
- Experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- A focus on processes and attention to detail.
- Great communication and reporting abilities.
