Our partners, specialized in Sustainable Energies in the MENA region, with offices in Dubai, Iraq and Beirut, are currently hiring a Design Energy Engineer. This candidate will Design, develop or evaluate energy projects of various scales to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during the design. Manage the preparation, follow-up, and submission of bids.

Responsibilities

• Proposal/tender pre-bid analysis and evaluation of both technical & commercial requirements
• Close follow-up, with technical and commercial functions, for the preparation of the conceptual designs, BOM, RFP, RFQ, time schedules, etc
• Assist in obtaining technical information and costs from manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, service providers, etc. for main components
• Study and compare received offers/quotations and lead the negotiation of both technical and commercial aspects of products/services
• Assist in the preparation of the project’s detailed cost breakdown and implementation schedule
• Prepare, consolidate, compile, and complete tender/proposal technical and commercial documents in line with customers’ requirements
• Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign-off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines
• Attending the technical meetings and preparing minutes of the meeting and documentation
• Maintain documentation, keep records, and maintain/update suppliers/ manufacturers/ subcontractors’ databases
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Gather feedback from the installed project
• Establish measurement systems to quantify the effectiveness of entering into a tender
• Conduct energy audits to evaluate energy use, costs, or conservation measures
• Gather, investigate, and summarize market data and trends to draft reports
• Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks
• Responsible for bid documentation quality
• Properly archive all documentation as specified by the company

Qualifications

• BA in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in Energy and/or solar projects
• Deep knowledge of various solar and wind power plant components: WTG, PV modules, Inverter stations, Tracking system, SCADA system, etc
• Standard Microsoft software packages (windows, word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera
• Good knowledge of electrical design and simulation tools,
• PV System Technology and Components, LV and MV power systems, techniques, and software.
• Experience in renewable energy project tendering and proposal preparation
• Basic knowledge of project management concepts
