For Lebanon, the company is seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Coordinator to support an offshore seismic campaign. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination, with the ability to ensure all environmental obligations are met throughout the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Monitor environmental, maritime, HSE, and offshore regulations relevant to seismic operations. Coordinate the preparation, submission, and follow-up of environmental permits, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure permit conditions and regulatory obligations are integrated into project plans, contractor requirements, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate environmental studies and documentation required for permitting and execution, including ESIA, baseline studies, and environmental management plans.
- Ensure environmental and societal requirements are reflected in HSE documents, contractual appendices, and mobilization plans.
- Maintain tracking tools and registers for environmental and societal actions, deliverables, and compliance obligations.
- Support environmental monitoring, reporting, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
- Draft and update HSE and environmental procedures, and deliver inductions, awareness sessions, and training.
- Act as the environmental focal point during key operational phases, liaising with internal teams, contractors, and vessel personnel.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities and help manage communication with authorities, communities, fisheries groups, NGOs, and other relevant parties.
- Assist in implementing stakeholder engagement and environmental/social management plans, including tracking requests and complaints.
- Support post-campaign environmental monitoring and ensure proper archiving of all environmental documentation.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or HSE coordination within offshore, oil & gas, seismic, marine, or similar industrial environments. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Marine Science, HSE, or a related field.
- Proven experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance within offshore, oil & gas, seismic, marine, or similar industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and HSE requirements related to offshore operations.
- Experience coordinating environmental studies such as ESIA, baseline surveys, and environmental/social management plans.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including authorities, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
- Experience with audits, incident investigations, and corrective action management is a plus. Proficiency in standard office tools and HSE reporting systems.
- Fluency in English and Arabic are required; French is an advantage.
