Our client, a well-established holding company in the steel industry, seeking a skilled and motivated IT Practitioner to manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure and systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of IT operations while supporting business continuity and digital transformation initiatives. This position requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, and manage LAN/WAN networking systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot servers (application, file), desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, Sophos firewalls, data switches, Wi-Fi devices, UPSs, and other IT hardware.
- Conduct and verify regular backups (daily, monthly, and annual).
- Ensure reliable LAN/WAN and internet connectivity.
- Liaise with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to resolve service interruptions.
- Develop, implement, and review IT policies and procedures.
- Manage virtual machines and fibre optic configurations.
- Administer and support cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.
- Monitor and maintain Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring optimal performance.
- Utilize Microsoft Intune for device, security, and application management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, with certifications in CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administration, and Microsoft 365 (M365).
- 4–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
