An International Lighting Manufacturing company, headquartered in USA, with offices in Roumieh, Lebanon is currently hiring a Product Designer.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop architectural luminaires, including linear systems, downlights, track lights, and façade lighting.
- Generate innovative concepts that integrate form, function, and manufacturability.
- Create detailed 3D product models using software such as 3ds Max, AutoCAD, or Rhino.
- Refine designs to optimize lighting performance, installation methods, and architectural integration.
- Produce high-quality, photo-realistic application renders for office, hospitality, retail, gallery, and public space projects.
- Utilize Lumion, 3ds Max, or V-Ray to simulate materials, lighting conditions, and architectural environments.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop scene visuals for presentations, catalogs, and digital platforms.
- Contribute to lighting layout planning with Dialux, Relux, or AGi32 to assess photometric performance and beam distribution.
- Review architectural and MEP drawings to recommend appropriate lighting solutions.
- Ensure visual simulations are consistent with technical photometric data.
- Prepare 2D drawings, exploded views, and assembly diagrams to support manufacturing and installation.
- Assist in creating specification sheets, cut sheets, and installation guides in coordination with the documentation team.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, sales teams, and external lighting designers to bring products from concept to market.
- Participate in prototyping, user testing, and design reviews throughout the product development cycle.
- Provide design input for trade shows, catalogs, and marketing materials when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architectural Design, Lighting Design, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in lighting product design or architectural design with a focus on lighting.
- Proficiency in 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Lumion, and Photoshop - familiarity with Rhino, Blender, or SketchUp is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with lighting simulation software such as Dialux, Relux, or AGi32 for application testing and validation.
- Solid understanding of lighting aesthetics, material finishes, and seamless integration within architectural spaces.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical data (IES files, photometric reports) and incorporate findings into design solutions.
- Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively.
