Food technology & engineering company looking for a Project Associate who can be responsible to manage and oversee various aspects of technical assistance, project implementation, and commissioning and installation of machines at customers’ plants. This role involves coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and timely execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Physical Interventions and Technical Assistance:
– Coordinate and manage the travel of technicians to customers’ plants.
– Ensure the execution of technical and repair missions as per customer requirements.
– Verify that customer requests are effectively met during on-site visits.
2. Phone Technical Assistance:
– Oversee and provide technical assistance via phone to address customer inquiries and issues promptly.
3. Project Implementation and Machine Installation:
– Maintain efficient communication with customers and suppliers to facilitate project progress.
– Manage the sending and receiving of samples for design and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) between customers and suppliers.
– Oversee the movement of letters of credit and payments to suppliers.
– Confirm final layout details for installation.
– Organize technicians’ travel arrangements and accommodation.
4. Machine Delivery and Transportation:
– Supervise the delivery and transportation of machines from suppliers to customers’ plants, including managing shipment documents and custom clearance.
– Coordinate with suppliers for timely and safe machine delivery.
5. Preparation for Machine Installation:
– Ensure the efficient provision of air, electricity, and water requirements to customers (Air supply team, electrical, pressure, CIP, Steam mixer, CO2).
– Collaborate with the technical department’s head at the work site to receive daily progress reports.
6. Client Interaction:
– Update clients on project progress and collect their feedback and requirements throughout the project.
– Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their concerns and ensuring their expectations are met.
7. Machine Installation and Testing:
– Oversee the successful installation and testing of machines at customers’ plants.
– Prepare snag lists and conduct efficiency tests to ensure the machines meet quality and performance standards.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
– Strong project management and organizational skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
– Familiarity with technical and repair processes.
– Knowledge of shipment and customs procedures is a plus.
– Willingness to travel as required for on-site assistance
