A leading Building & Civil Engineering Contractors Company located in Nigeria is looking for an experienced Road Foreman to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of road crew members, assigning tasks and providing guidance and support.
  • Oversee the daily operations of road construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of road construction equipment and tools.
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards and regulations on the worksite.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work completed by the crew to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
  • Review blueprints and project plans to ensure efficient and accurate execution of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure the smooth progress of projects.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during project execution and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide training and mentoring to new and existing road crew members.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in roadwork operations.
  • Report progress, challenges, and project milestones to upper management
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in construction or roadwork is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in road construction or maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of road construction techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of workers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Fluency in English is a Must).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Schedule
  • Monday to Friday | 08:00 AM till 05:00 PM
  • Saturday | 08:00 AM till 02:00 PM
