Fashion brand known for its innovative designs and commitment to sustainability, seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintain the general ledger and taxes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and financial reports.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate and support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage inventory accounting, including cost accounting and analysis of inventory variances.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial analysis and insights.
- Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting the fashion industry.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience (Preferably in the fashion industry).
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Work schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 – 6:00pm
