An international architecture firm, specialized in residential, hospitality and commercial projects around the globe, with innovative designs is looking to hire a Senior Interior Designer with regional experience or international exposure.
Tasks & responsibilities
The Interior Designer is responsible for the delivery of interior designs drawings of projects from concept design through to detailed design, tender and construction documentation.
- Works on the interior space planning of buildings including physical lay-out of rooms, selection of color schemes and light fittings.
- Provides inputs to architectural team during inception, design development and detailed design.
- Participate in the preparation and development of drawings, models, sketches, images, materials and other required deliverables, such as, space planning, overall layout, selection of interior finishes, artwork, accessories and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).
- Participates in defining the list of ID drawings, documents and other deliverables and their production.
- Coordinates with architectural and engineering designs.
- Coordinates with project ID team on day-to-day basis and ensures that project delivery achieves the design quality and documentation in accordance with company standards and contract agreement.
- Participate in preparation of presentation documents and materials, such as but not limited to, mood boards, scaled sketches, interior perspectives, 3D color rendered CGIs, floor plans, room layouts, elevations, sections, ceiling layouts, sample boards.
- Organizing of samples library, lists and library of products, materials, FF&E and vendors and research on new products and materials.
- Preparing ID schedules (finishes, sanitary, lighting, etc.).
- Ability to contact suppliers and provide physical materials based on approved concept designs with the possibility of participating and presenting to clients/representatives.
- Attends and proactively participates in sub-consultants coordination meetings and design workshops.
- Other duties and tasks as may be required, assigned and/or instructed by the Executive Director – Architecture.

- Working knowledge and understanding of relevant international codes and standards and best industry standard and practice in the Region is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, interior architecture or architecture preferred, relevant advanced degree or post graduate degree is an advantage.
- 8-10 years of professional experience in interior design and construction industry.
- Proficiency in design, drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup).
- Proficiency in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) MS is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in design and rendering software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Possibility of traveling on project basis, for a short period of time.
