Our client is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to play a key role in transforming their digital platform. Our client is a leading provider of strategic intelligence focused on defense, energy, and political developments across the Middle East and North Africa. Their platform supports senior decision-makers in governments, defense organizations, and major institutions worldwide. This is a hands-on, high-impact position with a strong emphasis on frontend and product development, while still working across the stack.
You will collaborate closely with product, content, and backend engineering, taking ownership of features end-to-end and contributing to technical direction as the platform evolves.
Responsibilities
- Design and build user-facing features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Implement and integrate backend APIs and services
- Own features from initial concept through production release
- Improve platform performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability
- Actively contribute to technical decisions and platform evolution
- Review code and collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders
- Help modernize the frontend and overall user experience
Qualifications
Required
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong frontend expertise with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Solid backend fundamentals (Node.js, Python, or similar)
- Comfort working across the full stack
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proactive attitude with a desire to improve existing systems, not just maintain them
Nice to Have
- Experience building or integrating AI-powered or LLM-based features (e.g. semantic search, recommendations, summarization, clustering)
- Experience reviewing code or mentoring other engineers
- Exposure to data-heavy or content-driven platforms
- Product-oriented mindset with an eye for user experience
