Our client, a key player in the industrial sector, is looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial organization at the country level. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial strategy, processes, governance, reporting, and compliance. The role also plays a key part in business performance monitoring, strategic decision-making, risk management, and driving efficiency across finance operations. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial systems, strong leadership, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Finance Organization Management
    • Define, establish, and adapt financial processes and systems in line with internal control principles.
    • Design and lead the finance organization to ensure high-quality processes and performance.
    • Collaborate with Group/Regional leadership to drive transformation initiatives within the finance function.
    • Lead strategic finance projects such as restructuring, M&A, securitization, and organizational changes.
    • Monitor and optimize finance function KPIs at the country level.
  • Forecasting and Planning
    • Coordinate the budget and forecasting processes ensuring consistency across all business units.
    • Consolidate and validate all cash flow forecasts, including both operational and non-operational flows (e.g., tax, pensions).
  • Record to Report / Tax Management
    • Lead site-level accounting processes and ensure compliance with local and international accounting principles.
    • Consolidate and validate financial data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
    • Review and sign off on statutory financial statements and group consolidation packages.
    • Manage all communications and filings with tax authorities, auditors, and other regulatory bodies.
    • Ensure local tax compliance and coordinate with tax authorities as needed.
  • Financing and Cash Management
    • Oversee cash availability, manage banking operations, and optimize cash flow.
    • Approve financial guarantees related to projects, excluding those managed at higher levels.
    • Manage relationships with financial institutions in collaboration with group treasury.
  • Business Performance & Partnering
    • Foster collaboration between corporate and local entities.
    • Promote a finance culture that prioritizes return on investment, cost of capital, and cash flow.
    • Analyze and explain financial performance using key operational and financial indicators.
    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and budget processes.
    • Identify and drive cost optimization and cash generation opportunities, especially in support functions.
  • If responsible for business management at country level:
    • Support the implementation of strategic and operating plans and budgets.
    • Partner with business leaders in executing strategy and analyzing performance.
    • Provide financial and risk impact analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • If business management is centralized elsewhere (e.g., regional or global level):
    • Provide support services across finance functions (credit, payables, treasury, tax, insurance, customs, hedging).
  • Risk Management
    • Define and oversee FX and metal hedging strategies; monitor risk exposure and results.
    • Monitor credit risk and ensure timely and effective collections.
    • Define and enforce delegation of authority and approve payments in compliance with policies.
  •  Internal Control & Compliance
    • Enforce company policies related to finance, accounting, and reporting.
    • Ensure segregation of duties and monitor system access rights.
    • Guarantee control over cash, disbursements, and bank accounts.
    • Supervise financial statement production, ensuring reconciliations and control activities are executed.
    • Support business owners in applying internal control principles and resolving audit issues.
    • Monitor and follow up on audit recommendations and promote internal control awareness across functions.
  •  Organizational Management & Optimization
    • Reorganize roles and responsibilities within the finance function as needed.
    • Maintain a succession plan and manage talent development within the department.
    • Drive automation and modernization of processes to reduce workload and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in industrial or multinational environments.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, compliance, tax management, and business partnering.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
