A well-established international insurance and risk-management group, is currently seeking a Commercial Manager – International Health to join their team. They operate across multiple regions, including Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. With a strong reputation in corporate health, life, and protection solutions, the company supports multinational clients through a network of regional offices and specialized teams.
Responsibilities
Identify and prospect new international clients operating across Africa.
Develop a client portfolio across all lines of activity (Health, Life/Disability, Assistance) through cross-selling and direct sales.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
Manage full commercial follow-up, including onboarding of new clients, renewals, unsuccessful opportunities, and lost accounts.
Coordinate with business partners related to the managed portfolio (introducers, insurers, reinsurers).
Ensure efficient internal coordination with subsidiaries and international health teams for tenders, prospecting, renewals, service quality, and account profitability.
Organize and lead periodic client meetings supported by reporting and in collaboration with central actuarial and health operations teams.
Monitor KPIs and performance indicators; propose action plans to achieve commercial targets.
Conduct market analysis, including trends, competitors, and regulatory developments in the health insurance sector.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Insurance, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in portfolio management and/or sales in Group Personal Insurance (Health and/or Life) within an insurer, broker, or TPA—preferably in Europe, Africa, and/or the Middle East.
Proven experience in B2B sales.
Fluency in French and English.
Key Skills
Strong expertise in international business development: prospecting, direct sales, and cross-selling.
Knowledge of international Personal Insurance markets, preferably within Africa.
Solid understanding of brokerage and Health TPA operations.
Proven account-management skills: retention, collection, profitability monitoring.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
High integrity and reliability in all internal and external communications.
Strong team spirit, adaptability, and results-driven mindset.
Ability to operate in a multicultural and evolving environment.
