A leading Building & Civil Engineering Contractors Company located in Nigeria is looking for an experienced Construction Planner to join their team.

Lead the development and management of detailed project schedules for complex road construction projects using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel, ensuring optimal timelines and resource allocation.
Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services and smooth project execution.
Review and interpret construction drawings and designs using AutoCAD to support planning and construction activities.
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Manage resource planning and budgeting to ensure projects remain within scope and financial targets.
Prepare and present detailed progress reports and project updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
Oversee compliance with safety regulations, environmental laws, and quality standards throughout all phases of road construction.
Supervise and mentor junior planners and project teams, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality execution.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and quality control records.
Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the construction process, maintaining project alignment and communication across all parties.
Ensure final project deliverables meet client specifications and industry best practices through thorough inspections and testing.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in road construction planning, with a strong background in project scheduling and resource management.
Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Excel.
Deep knowledge of road construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Fluent in English with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to project challenges.
Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
