A leading multinational retail group based in the Gulf, known for managing top international beauty and fashion brands is hiring a Department Store Manager for a new beauty retailer to oversee daily operations, ensure brand standards, and drive team performance and sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop the department team to ensure consistent performance and engagement.
- Work actively on the shop floor to set an example in delivering outstanding customer service.
- Drive sales performance by monitoring and improving key retail KPIs (UPT, ATV, Conversion Rate).
- Minimize stock loss through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
- Ensure the team is well-informed and passionate about the brand, its products, and customer service expectations.
- Delegate tasks effectively to maximize team productivity and ensure operational efficiency.
- Act as a point of contact and decision-maker in the absence of the Store or Assistant Store Manager.
- Coordinate with internal departments (visual merchandising, inventory, HR, etc.) to maintain seamless store operations.
- Maintain high visual and operational standards aligned with brand guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of 15–20 staff members.
- Strong understanding of retail metrics including UPT (Units Per Transaction), ATV (Average Transaction Value), and Conversion Rate.
- Excellent delegation and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues diplomatically and professionally.
- Experience in staff training, team motivation, and performance evaluation.
- Confident in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Commercially minded, with strong business acumen and a results-driven mindset.
