Our partner, a leading holding company in the steel industry since 2006, operates multiple subsidiaries across Africa specializing in manufacturing, processing, and distribution. With offices in 9 countries (Senegal, Burundi, Angola, Benin, Ghana, Congo, and Mali), the company has 6,000 employees, 96% of whom are Indian. They are currently seeking a Head of Marketing to lead all marketing activities and help with brand growth.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing Strategy and Planning

    • Create and carry out a full marketing strategy that fits the company's business goals.
    • Conduct market research to find new trends, customer needs, and competitor actions.
    • Plan and manage the marketing budget and track how well it is being used.
  • Brand and Product Management

    • Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand image.
    • Lead new product launches and manage their marketing plans.
    • Oversee all advertising, communications, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and guide a team of marketing professionals.
    • Set team goals and track their progress.
    • Help with the hiring and training of new team members.
  • Sales and Business Development

    • Work closely with the sales team to make sure marketing efforts help to increase sales.
    • Find new market opportunities and help the company expand its reach.
    • Analyze marketing data to find ways to improve campaigns and make them more effective.
  • African Market Experience

    • Use your knowledge of the African market to create marketing plans that will work in different regions and cultures.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on the FMCG, paint, or cement manufacturing fields. Proven experience in African markets is a must.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent skills in communication and negotiation.
  • Proven ability to create and manage successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms.
