A leading Telecommunication company is looking to hire an Operations Director to oversee the management of its local affiliate. The role will encompass driving commercial growth, shaping operational structures, and ensuring financial performance. The Director will lead business operations, foster business expansion, build partnerships, strengthen supplier relations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Actively address changes in project scope, foresee potential issues, and establish contingency strategies
- Lead the Operations Department and guarantee project delivery under the required standards and conditions
- Ensure quality assurance and consistent monitoring across all ongoing projects
- Oversee the full lifecycle of contract development from initiation to completion
- Define project success metrics and communicate them clearly to all stakeholders throughout the project phases
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships while managing associated communication materials
- Guide, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors, ensuring accountability and encouraging positive outcomes
- Supervise delegation of responsibilities from project managers to their respective teams
- Identify technical training needs and provide on-the-job coaching for technical staff across projects
- Direct the daily operations of Regional Network Operations & Maintenance teams
- Plan and schedule Preventive Maintenance proactively
- Ensure corrective maintenance tasks are completed within acceptable MTTR (mean time to repair) limits
- Manage Regional OPEX planning, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budget limits
- Provide detailed Regional OPEX reports
- Identify and pursue potential business opportunities by engaging prospective partners and exploring market prospects
- Expand product offerings and features while adapting to local market needs
- Assume full P&L responsibility for the affiliate/subsidiary
- Establish and execute annual budget plans, providing regular updates to headquarters
- Develop and implement a successful commercial strategy tailored to the local market
- Drive business development initiatives to grow both new and existing accounts through research and market expansion
- Represent the company externally before government entities, regulators, and business partners
- Design and implement internal systems to streamline logistics, commercial activities, and financial reporting in alignment with headquarters
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Telecommunications Engineering; MBA or Master’s in Engineering preferred. PMP certification is an advantage
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in a comparable managerial role
- Strong leadership and managerial capabilities
- Solid technical expertise
- Languages: Fluency in both French and English
- Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
