A leading Food manufacturing company in Lebanon with international distribution is seeking an operations manager, who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring production efficiency, adherence to quality standards, and effective coordination across Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Maintenance functions. This role drives operational excellence, maintains compliance with industry standards, and ensures optimal productivity and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
Production & Factory Operations
- Oversee daily factory operations to ensure production targets are met.
- Lead and control the Heads of Production and Warehouse departments.
- Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across Production, Warehouse, and Quality departments.
- Monitor production performance, efficiency, and output quality.
- Work with the Maintenance team to ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance.
Productivity, Efficiency & Cost Control
- Analyze operational data to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize resource allocation.
- Drive cost-control initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Compliance & Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene requirements, and ISO certifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean manufacturing, QA processes).
Planning & Reporting
- Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and workforce allocation.
- Prepare operational KPIs, weekly reports, and monthly performance dashboards for management.
- Coordinate production planning in alignment with sales forecast and supply chain needs.
Systems & Technology
- Utilize Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) for production planning, inventory control, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate system transactions and data entry across departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 6+ years of working experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven experience managing Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams.
- Hands-on experience with Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) or similar ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles.
- Familiarity with food safety and ISO standards.
- Competent in operational KPIs, data analysis, and cost control.
- Strong leadership with the ability to guide and discipline operational teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
