A leading Telecommunications Company in the MEA region is seeking a Procurement & Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in project management, procurement, or presales, with a strong background in the power, telecom, or construction industries. As well as driving sourcing initiatives, managing procurement operations, and overseeing project execution, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and compliance with all technical standards. 

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute an end-to-end sourcing strategy aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Identify and assess potential vendors based on cost-efficiency, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Conduct market intelligence to remain updated on pricing trends, industry developments, and technological innovations.
  • Track supplier performance and promptly address issues related to quality, cost, or delivery.
  • Lead contract negotiations and oversee contractual terms to secure favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical departments to integrate cost-effective solutions into project execution plans.
  • Liaise with all project stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Supervise project milestones, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines.
  • Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and transparent project updates.
  • Manage project budgets and financials, including pricing models, cost analysis, and cash flow planning to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, procurement, or presales, ideally in the power or telecom industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • PMP certification preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership with excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
  • Deep knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Proven track record in project planning and implementation for timely and successful delivery.
  • Experience supporting presales activities, working with technical teams on BOQs and project documentation.
  • Skilled in financial oversight and risk assessment, including pricing and cash flow analysis.
  • Effective leadership and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and time management discipline.
