Our partners, a leading holding company in the Steel Manufacturing industry, it manages multiple subsidiaries across Africa specializing in manufacturing, processing, and distribution. They are currently hiring a Head of Finance for their offices in Kinshasa, DRC. Committed to sustainability, the company transforms scrap metal into high-quality construction materials, supporting infrastructure growth.

Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stake holders, including compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing annual budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and implementing strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Taxation: Overseeing and managing the company's tax affairs, including compliance with tax laws and regulations, and liaising with tax professionals.
- Cash Flow Management: Managing the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet obligations, and optimizing cash flow for increased profitability.
- Risk Management: Identifying and assessing financial risks, developing and implementing risk management strategies, and monitoring the effectiveness of those stratgies.
- Investment Analysis: Conducting investment appraisals and analyses, and advising on investment decisions.
- Financial Planning and Strategy: Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and goals.
- Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team, ensuring their skills and knowledge are aligned with organization's needs.
- Audits: Managing the end-to-end audit of financial systems and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Decision Making: Providing financial insights and analysis to support business decisions, including pricing and margin analysis.
- Cost Reduction: Identifying and implementing cost reduction strategies to improve profitability and effeciency.
- Collaboration: Working with other departments to understand their needs and provide financial support to achieve their goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
- Professional certification required: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in the manufacturing sector (experience in the steel industry is a strong advantage)
- Proven leadership experience in managing and developing finance teams
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other reputable ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
- Strong decision-making skills with a business-oriented mindset
