Job Overview:
We are recruiting for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer.
The candidate will oversee the engineers in charge of Design, contracting, maintenance, and product development.
Electrical Engineering degree required, 15+ years of experience in consulting or contracting and project management.
About The Job :
The responsibilities include overseeing the engineering team’s submittals and ensuring that they are in line with industry best practices and relevant standards. Also analysing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting the equipment, running diagnostics, as well as training new hires. Ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules.
• Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
• Establishing relationships with vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
• Maintain and update list of approved suppliers.
• Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes.
• Participating in conferences, events, networking, and learning opportunities.
• Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents in coordination with the sales and marketing team.
• Analysing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
• Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
• Ensuring a safe, positive work environment.
• Experienced in projects management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within the specifications.
•Insure positive interaction with Automation, Civil and mechanical engineers.
Related Experience and Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Master’s degree preferable.
• 15+ years of experience in consulting or contracting
• Extensive practical experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Practical experience with CAD software, PVSyst, Homer, Simaris …
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities.
